Happy Halloween!!

Boo! Scared you? Probably did cause I haven't been on here in FOREVS.

Seriously, feels like it's been forever. I'm terrible.

Anyone have any awesome plans for Halloween this year? I know, it's on a Monday. Blah. I worked today and I'm planning on lighting up our pumpkins that are on our porch, hiding a cute little strobe light and handing out candy to all of the Trick or Treaters in my Halloween shirt and my witch hat!

Daniel and I had our Halloween party last weekend already. Not too many people showed up, but our closest friends did. It was a blasty blast!

I ended up getting a different costume than I had originally planned on wearing. The one I got in this post, it was just entirely too see through and I couldn't fix it in time. So I ended up getting this costume, which turned out super awesome, it was alot more comfortable and it showed less so I was able to relax a little more. Here are some pics from our partayyy.

See! Super fun....

Daniel and I also carved our pumpkins for this year! Can you tell who's is who's?? (Duh, of course you can!)

In other news....

I got my ball dress!! I ended up getting one that I wasn't even looking at, but I did get the Sangria color that I was eyeballing.... It's SO pretty! I got it at David's Bridal, it was a LITTLLEEE more than I expected to spend, plus I had to pay for shipping since they didn't have my size in the store, but all in all, so worth it. I don't even have to wear spanks under cause it's such a flattering fit!

I am pairing it with silver accessories... I got a silver glittery envelope clutch from eBay made by VS, silver shoes and really pretty silver CZ earrings from the Icing. Yea, I'm going kinda cheap on the accessories since the actual ball is pretty pricey and the dress was more than I wanted to spend. I also am splurging to get my hair done instead of doing it myself, but I am going to try to do my make up myself....

I've been watching alot of Make Up by Alli tutorial videos... love her! Her make up always looks super amazing and she's super pretty... so I'm hoping to be able to recreate one of her smokey eye looks for the ball..... we'll see if I can pull it off. I've sort of been practicing at home too.

I'm also SUPER EXCITED for next weekend!! We're going to Grove City, PA on a shopping trip with our friends from Canada that we met on our honeymoon! They're meeting us down there on Friday night (I think I'm taking the day off of work) and we're going to shop the weekend away!!

They're in the Dominican Republic right now (we're supposed to be with them!!) I'm super jelloooooo.

So I'll just sit at my desk and pretend I'm on the beach then.....

Hey, a girl can dream right??

Next year for sure though..... ffooorr surrreeeee.

Until next time,

One Year Anniversary!

I still can't believe it was already a year ago that I married the man of my dreams. I know, that sounds so cliche when I say that, but really, there is no other way to put it that doesn't sound cheesy! Soul mate, the one God made for me, the one I was born to love, all cheesy, but all TRUE!

I am so lucky.

So lucky.

We celebrated this weekend by going on a trip to Canada to visit Niagara on the Lake. I had dome some research on this little town. I had also been given some recommendations from friends that had been there. What I was prepared for was falling in love with this place! Seriously, the cutest town ever!! I really wish the trees had been changed more. That would have just put me over the top for sure!

We stayed at a little B&B called A Lil Bit of Eden. Cutest little place! Great hosts, great breakfast, super cozy and very affordable! I think we'll stay there again next time we visit NOTL, for sure. Daniel was pleased as well.

A Lil Bit of Eden

"The Berry Patch"- our room

It was very cozy! We were the only ones there for the first night, so we got to have the common room to ourselves. We watched Wanted with Angelina Jolie. It was good!

The next day, the weather wasn't cooperating 100%, but it didn't stop us. We stopped at a few orchards to see if they had any tasty little fall treats to try, drove around the coast and took in the sights! It was absolutely beautiful! We stopped at an Ice Winery called the Ice Wine House. We learned how they make Ice Wine and we got Ice Wine slushies! They were sooooo good! We even saw a small little Wedding Chapel and stopped to take a picture!

I don't know why I look scared, but I wasn't! Lol, just a little chilly!

Then after that we were getting hungry so we drove to Queen Street to get some lunch and do some sight seeing and some shopping. Queen St. was seriously the cutest street ever! It reminded me a lot of Main St. USA in Disneyland, maybe that's why I loved it so much! Here are some of the cute buildings I took pictures of of.

We even saw a horse and carriage with Bride and Groom!

And two of my favorites of us:

On Saturday night, our anniversary, we went to a museum called the Museum of the Paranormal. It was super creepy! There were ghost photo's, post-mortem photos, EVP recordings you can hear, haunted artifacts and all kinds of little things to read about. I really wanted to do a ghost walk, but it was FREEZING cold and we didn't bring jackets with us.

After the museum, we went back to our room to get ready for dinner. There were SO many possibilities for dinner, we couldn't choose! It took us SO LONG to choose what to eat, but we ended up at a really nice restaurant called The Old Winery. It was an Italian restaurant/Wine Bar which I had never been to. It was really good food! Then we got back to the room and changed to get into the hot tub! It was soooooooooo relaxing.

We told each other we weren't getting gifts for each other since we were going out of town, but Daniel surprised me and got me a bouquet of Stargazer Lilies and another Pandora Bead for my bracelet! He got me the "Everlasting Love" heart charm! I love it!

All in all it was a great anniversary weekend. It was everything I expected and more. It was great to be able to spend the weekend alone together. We had a great time. I can't believe it's been a year already since we've been married.

Daniel, I've had the best time of my life this past year and I can't wait to spend 100 more with you. I love you so much!

Until next time!

California Dreamin

I know, I'm a horrible blogger. If I actually had a million followers I would feel really bad, but I don't, cause I only have 1 follower! Lol. I've been SUPER busy! Work has been absolutely crazy and I think we're finally winding down enough so that I can relax when I get home and not want to rip my hair out when I have to look at a computer screen for another hour or so to blog!

But I wanted to update you on my trip to CALIFORNIA and Disneyland and more importantly my nephew's FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!!

My trip home was amazing, just as it always is. And I didn't want to leave, just as a I always say. The time went by way too quickly! Why is it that 5 days during a work week spent at work DRRAAGGSSSS, but then 5 days during a work week spent on vacation FLYYSSS!!!??? Just life I guess?

Anywho, here are some pictures from my trip!

Me my mom and my sister on the tram going into Disneyland

My adorable nephew on his first birthday and my sister holding him, about to walk into Club 33!
(I'll go into details about Club 33 later in this post)

Austin after his first ride ever at Disneyland (It's A Small World)

Austin at his first birthday party!
(Are you seeing a trend here?? And no, I can never have enough pictures of that adorable face!)

Me and the birthday boy after his party!

And me and my sister being our goofy selves!

And finally on my last night; me, my grandma and my Tia Kimmy!

For Austin's first birthday, I took him to JC Penny's to have his 1st birthday pictures taken, they came out so freaking cute! Of course they would when you have such an adorable baby to work with! Here are two of my favorites:

UGH! JUST LOOK AT THAT FACE!!

OBSESSED?? Maybe, but I just love him so much!

Ok so now onto Club 33....  Can I please just say that in each and every way, this place FAR exceeded my expectations! I was however, a little, disappointed upon entering the club. They were doing renovations on the whole building, so the famous door that I posted before in my previous post about Club 33, was blocked. Yes, I know.... I couldn't take a picture in front of the 33 sign like I wanted to. But everything else about the experience was far more than I would ever have hoped for.

I'll take you through a little photo tour.

This is the sight you see upon entering the club through that famous door. Your hostess. After you give your name and reservation information, she calls up and confirms your table.

You can take the lift, or the stairs:

We took the lift:

My menu and plate:

Me at our table, happy as can be!

After you order your meal, you are free to ATTACK the buffet. Here you have a choice of mixed greens, prepared salads, lobster, shrimp, crab, cold cuts, fruit and other cold options:

Then your meal comes. I ordered the Farm Crusted Chicken with Truffled Mac and Cheese and Asparagus:

My mom ordered Fillet Mignon with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Greens:

My sister ordered the Smoked Salmon with Risotto and Veggies:

Yes, I had a little bit of each of theirs and EVERYTHING. Let me tell you. EVERYTHING. Was absolutely DELISHHH!

After your finish your meal. MUST. MAKE. ROOM. You are free to try to attack the dessert buffet. Here you will find.... well, anything you can think of really!

The cookies had Club 33 logos and GLITTER!!! Yes, please!!!

I grabbed one of everything just so I can taste it, but I was so full I didn't finish anything. The best thing on this plate (if I had to choose) was the Mickey Coconut Macaroons, they were amazing!!

Then our amazing waitress (who I'll get to in a second) brought this delight for my sister, my nephew and myself since we were all celebrating birthdays!

I couldn't stop taking pictures of this!!

Austin had his own way of awing over this Disney delight, as any 1 year old would:

Now to our waitress.... I had read on a few different blogs about Carolyn. She has been at Club 33 for over 30 years and is one of the most recognized waitress there. According to most Disney blogs I've read, Carolyn is the best one you can get! So imagine my surprise when she walks up to our table and introduces herself!! I just couldn't handle my excitement, I had to take a picture with her! Meet, Carolyn!

Now onto the non-food portion of the Club. (Yes!!! There's more!!)

Here is a picture of the bar, the only place in Disneyland that serves alcohol:

The vanity inside of the ladies bathroom:

Club 33 logo paper towels!

And the famous toilet... yes, I didn't even have to pee, but you think I wouldn't try to push something out so I can say I've used this amazing thing!! Look at this! It's awesome!

Ok now leaving the bathroom, here is a picture of Walt dining at Club 33!

A (dark) picture of the Trophy Room

A fake stuffed Vulture, used to be a Animatronic, but it is no longer working.

A hidden microphone inside the chandelier above the tables in the Trophy Room so the talking vulture can eavesdrop on your conversation, and even respond back to you! (Doesn't work anymore)

Lilian Disney's personal butterfly collection (HOW COOL???)

More of her butterflies and other collections of Walt's

An original print of Walt and Shirley Temple (who was an avid Disney fan!)

Another original print of Walt and Mickey Mouse

Another print of Walt actually sketching Mickey Mouse!!

This table was a prop in Disney's Mary Poppins! How cool is that???

Above it is a sketch of Sleeping Beauty's Castle:

And lastly, the saddest part of leaving Club 33... the door to exit. This is the opposite side of the door that is seen from the French Quarters in Disneyland.

I still can't believe I was lucky enough to have been able to go. The lunch was rather expensive, but to me, it was completely priceless. Not many people are able to go and I was so fortunate that my step dad got us in! The hosts and hostesses really treat you like royalty. I was bummed that we didn't see anyone famous inside the club though! I've heard stories of Mickey Rooney just coming and plopping down at a table next to you. Apparently he's a member! Who knew??

If you ever get a chance to go, soak it in! The experience is absolutely amazing and I feel so lucky!! Thank you again Mom and Dan for the opportunity and for fulfilling one of my dreams! I can now check that off of my bucket list!

Until next time!
